Is there a dependable cloth diaper delivery services or cloth diaper retail stores in the knoxville, TN area?
We are about to have our first kid, and want to go with cloth diapers. At first we would like to join a cloth diaper deliver service to see if it is going to work well for us before we buy the different covers and diapers of our own. Any suggestions?
We live in knoxville TN.
Thanks in advance.

I don’t live in your area but I am starting a diaper service in Tampa. There aren’t any here either. However, I would NOT go with the gerber prefolds or any others that you find at Target, Baby R Us, etc. I’m surprised anyone has found that they work for diapering. It is the first I have ever heard anyone say they’re good for anything other than burp rags. I would hate for you to use those diapers and then be turned off from cloth because they simply aren’t meant for real diapering.
Cloth diapering is quite simple. There is a learning curve of course, but all new parents can expect a learning curve when it comes to diapering–be it cloth or the chemical, disposable, trash diapers.
There are some good resources out there. Try the National Diaper Service Association and the Real Diaper Association. Choosing cloth is simply the healthiest and best diaper option out there. Good luck!
i dont live in your area, but i know that in my area there is not one single diaper service within 4 hours drive time….
if there is not – i would suggest the Gerber DSQ diapers from Target (only place i have found them) – and the dappi diaper cover (babybestbuy.com)
that would be relatively inexpensive, you will not find a cheaper diaper cover than the dappi – and it is the only one that works for me – no blowouts in 4 months
and those are the only diapers i have found at a mass retailer that works – do not waste your money on the premium, gauze, etc, etc –
good luck, and it is great to clothdiaper – cheaper – just as easy and for me at least no diaper rashes
