My grandaughter (my hubby and I are raising her) is 4 months old and I really want to use cloth diapers instead of disposable. The last time I used cloth was 14 years ago for my youngest child and they made these kind that had velcro and came with their own covers. Do they still make these? If so, what brand is best, but not oo costly? Thanks in advance!

Cloth diaper question!?

I use cloth diapers with my 5 and a half month old, and am confused about washing instructions. Every diaper comes with different instructions, but i recently learned that you are not supposed to soak diapers, which I have been doing (soak the poopy ones). The instructions say "shake the solids into the toilet". Now here is where i get confused – with a breastfed baby, there are no solids! So should I still rinse and soak, or rinse and throw into dry pail, or what?
Thanks
Thanks eveyone! No more rinsing gross diapers out in the toilet! WAY easier!!

Need some cloth diaper advice?

After this whole pampers fiasco and me not liking any other brand of diapers I’ve decided it’s time to start using cloth diapers. My son is 14 months old so it’s quite late in the game for a change but I’m sure it will be interesting if nothing else!

I think I’ve narrowed it down to the Flip Diaper or the Bum Genius 3.0. What do you think? What is your brand of cloth diaper?
I forgot to also ask how much I need to get me started…or how much I need to buy to try it? Thanks!

    Mommies: Cloth or disposable diapers?

I prefer and use cloth on my daughter. They are less expensive in the long run and I don’t have to purchase them every week, which can be quite costly, and of course they don’t fill the landfills!

Which do you prefer, and why?
lol, yeah I have to agree that washing them are sometimes a pain. Once I get my daughter fed, and nicely tucked into bed.. the last I want to be doing is washing dirty diapers!

I have a 5wk old (almost 13lbs!) with chubby little legs. I’ve tried the Fuzzi Bunz but because he’s got such dough-y legs, the elastic leaves very impressed red marks on them, looking pretty uncomfortable. I like how they don’t leak though (obviously since his little fatties and the elastics keep the wetness in.. haha!). Any other friendly suggestions?

I’m interested in cloth diapering my next child. It certainly would be more cost efficient and "green". I’m curious though, when your child is ready to be potty trained, do you then buy the pull ups trainers(Or something like this)? Or just continue with cloth diapers until they are fully trained?

I have all the clothes, crib, playpen, stroller, car seat, diaper service etc. What I don’t know about is shampoos, diaper cream, soap, etc. Any suggestions on products and brand recommendation would be greatly apreciated, I only have a couple of weeks and I didn’t think about this sooner.
    Thank you.
I would like to use as natural products as possible

    FuzziBunz One Size Cloth Diaper

The award-winning and patented FuzziBunz reusable pocket-style diapering system ensures that babies stay dry, healthy and happy. Made with only the finest and most innovative materials, FuzziBunz diapers deter icky leaks, prevent painful diaper rash and keep baby looking and feeling good. When choosing the right cloth diaper for your baby, there is a lot to think about. One major choice today is choosing a One Size diaper or a Sized diaper. Use the chart below to help decide whether a One Size or Sized diaper is right for you and your baby. If a trim fitting diaper is important to you, then the Sized diapers may be best suited for you – most babies use only 2 sizes of diapers, Small and Medium. If a diaper that will last from birth to potty, and will stand up to three years of use or more is what you value (and you are willing to sacrifice some trimness for this), then the One Size may be your diaper of choice. The FuzziBunz One Size Diapers are the most adjustable and innovative one-size cloth diapers on the market today! Adjust the diapers to fit babies 7-35 pounds and get a snug fit every time with the button-adjusted waist and leg casings. The leg casings adjust to 8+ settings and the waist adjusts to 4+ settings.
